The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will issue fresh currency notes from June 01, 2018. People can get packets of new notes in exchange of old notes for Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
SBP has been collaborating with Pakistan Banks Association (PBA) for the past few years for issuing fresh currency notes on the occasion of Eid.
People need to send message to 8877 along with their CNIC numbers and branch code of selected bank. They will receive transaction number and branch address in reply.
The recipient of the message will present the original CNIC to the bank for receiving fresh currency notes.
