Hum News was recently launched as a private television channel in Pakistan. The channel made a history by selecting a woman of Sikh community as news reporter, the first female news reporter of the community in the history of Pakistan.
Manmeet Kaur is a resident of Peshawar city and has completed her Masters in Social Sciences. Kaur appreciated the growing sense of pluralism in Pakistan and said that in Pakistan, “talented people are always treated with honour whether he or she belongs to any religion caste and creed“.
