Money Back Guarantee is an action comedy film, directed and written by Faisal Qureshi, who is making his feature directorial debut.. The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Fawad Khan, Ayesha Omar, Hina Dilpazir, Ali Safina, Wasim Akram, Shaniera Akram, Shayan Khan, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Gohar Rasheed, and Jan Rambo. Originally scheduled for release on May 22, 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic led to a postponement of the film’s release. The musical score for the film was composed by Tyler Westen. Money Back Guarantee is now set to be released worldwide on April 21, 2023, to coincide with the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Filming for the movie took place in late 2019, with shooting locations in Karachi and some parts in Thailand. The entire filming process, along with the soundtrack production, was completed within 40 days. Notably, the film features the acting debuts of former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram and his wife, Shaniera Akram.
The movie’s soundtrack was composed by Hollywood music composer Tyler Westen. The songs were written by Shani Arshad, a Pakistani film music director and songwriter, and Asfar Hussain, the lead vocalist of Bayaan. The film features three songs, each recorded in Karachi, Lahore, and New York. There is a song in the voice of Shehzad Roy. One of the songs is filmed on Ayesha Omar. Notably, HUM TV is the media partner for the film.
Synopsis
Although the film’s plot hasn’t been fully revealed yet, some clues can be found from interviews with the cast, media reports, and the film’s trailer. Hina Dilpazir plays the role of a Sindhi woman who is married to a younger man, while Shaniera Akram portrays an international journalist who reviews the performance of a bank and reports on it. According to producer Shayan Khan, the film has a unique heist story that blends political elements and includes amazing twists and scenes. Khan himself also has a short but interesting role in the film. This movie is Khan’s second production, following his debut film Na Band Na Baraati. Ayesha Omar revealed that she plays a character who everyone wants to win over.
