Deadlock continues on Caretaker Prime Minister

The Leader of the House and the Leader of the Opposition in Pakistan have not agreed so far on the name of the caretaker prime minister. The tenure of the current government ends on May 31, 2018. After that, there will be a caretaker prime minister appointed for two months, during which the elections will also be held in Pakistan. If a consensus is not reached by May 31, the matter will go to the parliamentary committee that will have equal representation of the government and the opposition. If stage 2 also fails, the matter will finally be decided in stage 3 by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
