FBR – How to Pay Late Filing Surcharge for appearing in ATL

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) publishes the list of Active Taxpayers of Income Tax on March 01 of every year. The list shows all income taxpayers who paid their taxes and filed the income tax return before the due date.

If you filed the income tax return after the due date and want to be included in the Active Taxpayers’ list, you will have to pay the surcharge for late filing. The surcharge amount is Rs. 1,000 for individuals.

Below, I have explained the procedure to pay the surcharge amount of 1,000.
